Re: submitting photos:- Hi there! I will start by stating my belief that not only is yours the most informative and interesting Nikon site I have ever seen, it is one of the BEST web sites on ANY subject I have seen in 15 years of browsing. It reminds me of when the web it was at its best providing a TON of information with no garbage on screen. Only beautiful photographs compete with the text on your web site and they are a pleasure to view.

I must also mention your own writing style. Despite referring to it occasionally and modestly yourself it is also a pleasure to read and NEVER confusing. I come from England myself and find it hard not to criticise my neighbouring Americans sometimes while living here for their English!!! The only language that matters on your site is the language NIKONESE, and you speak it fluently, with an obvious respect and devotion you should be very proud of!

They say, "That time comes when ... ." Well, I suppose, for me, you could say "That time has come." After thirty-five years of enjoying the purchase and use of Nikon cameras, Nikon flashes, Bowens studio lighting, Nikkor and Nikon lens, motor drives, various filters, etc., the time has come for me to "get real" about the notion that I can't take the stuff with me, no matter how much I love it. So, I am preparing to put all my equipment (which is quite a collection, as compared to that a normal person might garner through life) on the auction block.

My four Nikon cameras (F/1974, F3, F4, and EM) form the foundations around which my entire collection is built. Presently, I am photographing all the equipment as best I can to demonstrate the pride I have exercised in keeping my equipment in clean and faultless working condition. I can honestly say: If I were in the market for a nice piece of used equipment I would be unrealistic to think I would find any in better condition than that which I am selling. The collection, as a whole, really is a testament to careful and prideful ownership.

So, given my intentions — to sell my entire collection, I am soliciting advice from those of you, fellow nikonians, who may care to share your knowledge and experience in selling equipment through internet auction. If you feel you know some obscurities of the process that would benefit my selling of the equipment, I would greatly appreciate your sharing that knowledge with me. Maybe more importantly, I want to give potential buyers the kind of information they need to have confidence in my integrity, and the true character and integrity of the equipment they may be interested in purchasing. I would like for each purchaser to be surprised in only one way — that the equipment condition, mechanically and aesthetically, exceeds their expectations.

I look forward to any advice you may choose to share. For you to take the few minutes it will take to share your thoughts will be most kind; and, I assure you I will be most appreciative.

Thank you for taking time to read this posting.

Bob Fillpot.

Looking for Photographer for Yoga Book

I am looking for talented photographer or photographers with that special talent for shooting bodies to work with us on a series of Yoga books.
Most of the work will be technical or artistic studio shots and the project will eventually require around 1000 shots taken over a year or longer.
The requirement is urgent. Please email Bill at health@langkawiyoga.com with links to examples of your work. If we like it we will arrange a yoga instructor model for you to do test shots of 4 yoga postures.
This can be in KL, JB, Penang or Langkawi.
Our budget is not huge, but photographers will receive cover credit and the books will be sold across SE Asia and probably worldwide.
