Thank you very much. This is a great web site. I just found a Nikomat ELW and would never have thought that this site would contain most/all the info I need for it.

First, let me say thank you for the website info. I've had this camera since the early 80's and never got a manual with it. I used it extensively in the late 80's, early 90's and loved it, despite it's weight when I hung a Vivitar Series One long zoom on it. I built a side holder that worked very well and allowed a stable platform up to about 2 seconds. My son has the camera now and I related to him how I "thought" it worked but your basic manual is an eye-opener to the many untapped facets of the machine. Many thanks. I've tried to find the value of the beast - any thoughts on current worth? I'm not about to sell it, I love the thing, but I'm just curious.
Sincerely..C.R.

Hi, creator of MIR photo site:- I did not come to pry, but I undertook this small journey to say thank you for your enormous work which has been so helpful and of great value to me, now and in future times. I have taken so much joy from this site I would like to repay you in a very small way if I can, by help with photos of Nikon / Nikkor lens cameras which you may, or may not need. I congratulate you also on your English (you thought it is an issue) but which is better than mine (my native tongue) and certainly better than "my Chinese".
As they say in my country, "may the road rise to meet you..."

I have some extra time on my hands now due to Hurricane Katrina and have been reading this info (MIR - Photography - The Resource Page, what is shutter speed? What is aperture? etc.)
Although I have gone over it before many times over, even in textbooks on photography that I have checked out of the library, I feel that this write-up on exposure does an excellent job of explaining the interaction of shutter speed and aperture, and I think I understand it (at least on an elementary level). Thanks.

Good day. My wife & I are planning a yearend vacation to a few selected countries in the far east. I was lead to your website from a web-search on Malaysia. Your twin towers & other Asia Landmarks pictures are simply fabulous. Thanks for the pleasant introduction/presentation, I wish someone in my country can do something like that for my country. Between Thailand, Burma and Singapore, because of your featured stories, we have decided to choose Singapore and Malaysia for our holiday now. We hope there will be more places that we can visit when we reach Kuala Lumpur. Thank You.
Regards, from Montevideo. Nantz and family.
