Simple setting up the AV-1 for
operation: (Skip

| 1. Loading the battery into your camera. | 2. Check the battery power. | 3. Turn the shutter button lock lever to "A". |

 |
| 4. Load the film and advance it to the first frame. | 5. Set the film speed (ASA) according to the film in use. | 6. Set the selector to "A" , which sigifies AUTO operation. |
 |

 |
| 7. Set an aperture by turning the lens aperture ring | 8. Look into the viewfinder. Compose the picture and focus. | 9. Press the shutter release button halfway to check the exposure. |

| 10. Press the shutter release button all the way for shutter release. | 11. Wind the film to the next frame | 12. At the end of the film roll, rewind the film back into the film catridge. | |
