Since the self timer lever has been removed, there is no need for the self timer light either and it was 'dimmed". Both the shutter speed dial and shutter release/film advance lever have been raised higher than the normal F3. The viewfinder has an unfamiliar look compared to other F3 models such as F3/F3HP/F3T - because it has a different prism with a standard ISO-type accessory shoe at the top! |
Those are the visible features that you can differentiate. However, Nikon claims the F3P camera, has been redesigned with better seals and O-rings at critical points and joints for possible penetration of moisture or water in high humidity environments. (Nevertheless, please DON'T mistake it as an waterproof camera).
