Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 & 85mm f/2.0
You must be asking, hey, what is so special to have these two 1948/1950 lenses around in this page. Technically, yes! These two "oldies" shouldn't be in here but the rich history these two lenses carried with them deserved very much to have an "honorable" mention.
The 50mm f1.4, during its launch was considered very unusual for its speed of f1.4 and the 80mm f2.0 was the first lens that have almost changed the course of photographic community during the early '50. We have a separate write up relating to that article which can be accessed and you might understand why these two lenses are featured here in this page, great for knowledge !
These are the published lens test result of these two superp lenses by Popular Photography, please note these lenses are optical products during the '50, some near 50 years ago and nobody cares about a relative unknown Japanese Optical manufacturer's new products but it did rocked the photographic world during that time...
