There were a few models also using this fixed mirror principle to achieve ultra high speed film advance. Compared this with Canon Pellix QL and the Nikon F and 10 fps F2 High Speed Motor Camera.
The current Canon autofocus EOS-1n RS (and Previous EOS RT) are also using this concept to make 9 fps possible in RS mode. Also available in are: Canon F-1 High Speed Motor camera in 1972 and New Canon F-1 High Speed in 1984. There should be more application in SLR camera design when some minor drawbacks have been solved or improved later.

F3 Limited and also for the Nikon
F3 High Speed Motor Drive
camera.
the only F3 Finder that has the accessory Hot Shoe on its viewfinder.
Note also there is an an extra pin to relay the flash info to the camera.
