At Ground Zero.
Another lovely crop planted by my maid just around the lamp post in front of my old house. I was not sure where she managed to get them (probably "borrowed" near KLCC.... A zoom lens at 200mm set at an aperture of f/8, will behave the same as a dedicated macro lense at the same setting. At 1:4 magnification, compromise is merely the working distance between you and the plant. I don't like to make my dogs barking all the way to invite neighbours seeing an old man had his face leeching flat on the ground taking pictures... I just took off the viewfinder of my camera and composing from there, the f/8 aperture was an insurance for depth of field because the image shown in the focusing screen is not accurate at all.The solution is just prefocus a similar distance and lay the camera flat on the ground to compose to get the perspective. Since the viewfinder was not attached, you have cover the exposed area, as it may affect meter reading accuracy. I have got one right here - out of four exposures.
I like negative films. They are so forgiving in exposure latitude.
