Come to think of it, since some of additional key features are so useful and they are operative only with the dedicated data back attached, why don't the F5A includes the Multi-Control Function Data Back MF-28 as standard accessory to make the setup complete ? I don't think price is a factor - since you can afford one of these LE setup.


Some may argue: since this is a collector's item and may have a high possibility of value appreciation overtime, who would use it as like the workhorse Nikon F5 ? Thus, it is a matter of individual perspective of why one buys or invest into this special model.
