S: Single frame Shutter: Electro-magnetically-controlled horizontaltravel focal plane shutter made of ultra-thin titanium Shutter Speed: 1/2000, 1/1000, 1/500, 1/250, 1/125, 1/60 (X sync speed) and 1/30. Viewfinder: Interchangeable eye-level finder using a pentaprism. Four other interchangeable finders can be used. Field of view: 97% Magnification: 0.8X with a 50 mm standard lens set at infinity. Diopter: -1 dptr. Dioptric adjustment is possible with Canon Dioptric Adjustment Lenses. Viewfinder information: Metering index, +-3 f/stops over/under exposure scale, out-of-coupling range warning marks, preset shutter speed. Focusing Screen: Interchangeable. Standard: split-image/ microprism rangefinder. Twelve other types (total of 32 screen/metering system combinations available.) Metering and Exposure Control: TTL fixed-index stopped-down metering which couples with the shutter speed, aperture film speed, and subject luminosity. Metering Area: Selective area, center-weighted average, and spot metering are selectable by changing the focusing screen. Metering Range: EV6 to EV20 (1 /30 see, f/1.4-1 /2000 sec. f/22, with FD 50 mm f/1.4 lens and ISO 100 film.) Light-receiving element: Silicon photocell having an ultra-high sensitivity Film Speed Scale: ISO 6 - ISO 6400 in 1/3 steps. The sensitivity is marked by ASA. Metering Switch: Meter is turned on when the shutter button is pressed halfway. The lens is stopped down at this time also. Film Loading: Quick film loading using a multi-slit spool. Film is loaded by advancing one frame. Provided.with a blank feed element for winding two frames upon close of the camera back. Shooting Capacity: 100 rolls or more at normal temperature and 30 rolls or more at -30°C ( - 22°F) when using 36-exposure film and two fully charged Ni-Cd S-12 batteries. Winding and Rewinding: Automatic electric winding and power rewinding, with automatic stopping mechanism. Frame Counter: Down-counting type. Power Source: Exclusive 12V S-12 battery which contains 10 AA-size Ni-Cd batteries. Power Switch: Camera does not operate when the switch is turned off. Battery Check: By pressing the battery check button. A green LED indicates sufficient voltage. Dimensions: Direct-contact type; 156.7 (W) x 70 (D) x 262.4 (H) mm (6 3/16" x 2 3/4" x 10 5/16"). 1. Use only a blower to clean the pellicle mirror. NEVER use a brush or a cleaning tissue because it may cause abrasions.
2. NEVER touch the shutter blades. If using an aerosol spray dust remover (not recommended), hold the can at least 20cm (8 inches) away from the shutter blades.
3. TURN OFF the power switch on the battery case. If it is left ON, the battery voltage will drop down below the regular voltage (23V) and the camera will not operate.
4. Exposure may be slightly incorrect if using an aperture larger than f/2.8.
5. When mounting an FD lens with chrome mount ring or a New FD macro lens, be sure not to mount it directly on the camera body if the lens' aperture lever is locked. The aperture lever may damage the pellicle mirror.
6. When using an independent exposure meter or a guide number calculation in flash photography, be sure to add a pellicle mirror reflectance value, i.e. 0.8 f/stops (about one f/stop).

Consult the dealer where you bought your camera or a Canon service facility.
