Subject: a question about Nikon EM exposure/winding operation
Status:

I find a mistake in "Nikon EM operation" pages of your very useful, rich
and complete site. Alternativaly - as I believe - my EM is broken!

Can You listen my question?

The matter concern the procedure of exposure/rewinding operation. Normally, once I have measured for a given scene, I acts on the film-winding lever and the exposure needle immediately goes in the upper position of time-scale, like when the exposure-meter is power-off.

To reactivate the needle and take a new reading, I can only act on shutter release button and then depress on it. This means that I cannot measure again the exposition-values once I have rewinded the film. This means also that if I change the f/ value after I have rewinded the film, I will get a wrong exposure. Therefore I don't agree when You tell that, once one has released the shutter, it needs immediately wind the film. In this case - at least my EM isn't damaged - the camera "remember" the last exposure-value also for the next scene.

What do yout think?

Best regard
