Nikon F High Speed Motor Drive Camera, 1976 Version 2
The Sapporo Winter Olympic Games (also known as the XI Olympic Winter Games) was held in Japan in 1972. While Nikon was just rleased the Nikon F2 and there was no special high speed motor drive camera to serve photogra[hers covering the event and thus, the same motor drive was used. The Nikon F High Speed 'Sapporo' was also considered to be extremely rare Nikon F High Speed as collectible today. It offers for 7 exposures per second in fine original condition (only some wear around strap lugs) with special finder for 135-300mm lenses, special prism finder, the model showcased here with HS motor drive no.1523xx, power pack type 3 for motor drive (16 AA-batteries), cable, only 54 cameras of this type were produced, in this condition very few are known to exist.
Approx. Year: c.1972NOTE: I guess Japan as host to this international sports event, many local enterprises were also taking the advantage to showcase their products to the media world, another major camera producer, Canon has also offered a similar type of high speed camera, Canon F1 High Speed Motor Drive body to serve Canon Photographers.
