APO-MACRO-ELMARIT-R 100mm image

APO-MACRO-ELMARIT-R 100mm f/2.8

With the new development of a new fluoride-phosphate glass in the Wetzlar laboratory, this lens brings apochromatic correction to the 100mm focal length and extended all the way to the macro range. Optical construction is with eight elements in 6 groups. The front six form a typical unsymmetrical double Gauss layout which move during focusing, while the rear two are in fixed position. The flatness of field is maintained all the way to the macro setting of ratio 1:2. A dedicated special Elpro close focusing attachment permits the lens to go to reproduction ratio of 1:1. In Leica version, the Macro-Adapter-R and the 2x Extender is not recommended - performance might be degraded when worked in combination with this lens.

Hey, this lens is expensive (expected) but nodoby doubts with its optical performance, a true German classic ?
