180mm Zeiss Sonnar T* f/2.8
When we mentioned Zeiss lenses, it is hard to leave out the famed "Olympia" Sonnar. The lens is made in Japan now. Extremely compact and lighter in weight in a revised design. The new version comes with "floating elements" design for close range correction. I have seen some real impressive images captured with this lens from a a friend of mine, I have never doubted its optical performance. Personally, sometimes lenses like this makes one feel - how nice it is to be a Contax user.I am NOT so happy with what is in this site for information on Contax cameras and Carl Zeiss lenses. Anyway, I am working with it with Contax Gallery (Only one outside Japan and run by a Japanese Photographer who were assigned by the goverment of Japan to promote photography in Asian region - since twenty years ago). Plenty of goodies asuured.. later.
