Wat Phra Singh, Pra Sing Phra ROd Buddhist votive Amulets by YUT
Wat Prasingha (Some refer it as"Wat Phra Singh" or Wat Pra Sing") has an old name of Wat Lichang. It changed to name to present after installation of Phra Sihing was moved into the premises back in 1367. The temple is located in the heart of Chiang Mai and making access to foreign and local very easily. The most famous thing of this very old landmark temple is the golden Vihara Lai Kam. Many of the temples followed old traditional antique way of Thai craftsmanship to construct and decorated with golden leaf and floral patterns.

Some of the walls were still retaining the customary mural painting of the glorious older Lanna dynastic period. There is a Chedee which reputed to be built by King Pha Yu (1337-1355) to keep the remains of his father, King Kam Fu (1328- 1337B.E.). Many subsequent rulers of the Lanna Kingdom had added other structures and Buddhist interest into the temple. The last more well known renovations were carried out in the 1920 by Khru Ba Srivichai - the most respectable Lanna Monk from Northern region.

Wat Phra Sing (Singh) does produced amulets for public to worship the merciness of Lord Buddha in their own Northern Thai Folk manner. Here is a batch of newer amulets produced back in 2496 B.E. (They are not too old but as you can observe, they are top quality produce).
