Setting the Mode Selector

The film driving speed varies with the position of the mode selector. To set the desired speed pull up and turn the mode selector. The shutte; speeds which are usable in each mode are as follows:

Film Driving Speed Shutter Speed Range
H (14 frames/sec.) 1/250 - 1/2000
M (10 frames/sec.) 1/125 - 1 /2000
L (5 frames/sec.) 1/30 - 1 /2000
S (Single Frame) 1/30 - 1/2000


Loading the Film/Frame Counter


1) Press the frame counter reset button before loading the film (This will set the frame counter to "S").
Note: When "0" is shown on the frame counter, it is impossible to release the shutter.

2) Turn the power switch on the back of the battery case ON.
3) Open the camera back by pulling the rewind knob up while pressing the safety stopper.

4) Pull the film leader across the camera and insert the tip into any slot of the take-up spool.

5) Press the shutter button once to advance a frame.
Note: The camera advances one frame, as long as the camera back is open, no matter what shooting speed has been set.
6) Make sure the sprocket teeth engage the film perforations, and close the camera back.
7) Press the shutter button again to advance the film.
Note: The camera will now advance two frames, no matter what shooting speed has been set.

• When loading a roll of film with fewer than 36 exposures, push the counter setting wheel in and turn it in the direction of the arrow until the desired number is aligned with the index.
Caution
Do not set the frame counter to a number larger than the number of frames of the film. If the counter is set to a larger number, the film perforations may be torn.

8) Press the shutter button to take the picture. When the frame counter reaches "0", film winding will stop automatically and the warning lamp will light.
Note: It is NOT possible to use llford HP-5 Autowinder 72 Monochrome ultra-thin film or the Canon Film Chamber FN-100 with this camera.

Setting the Film Speed



While pressing the lock release button, turn th film speed setting dial until the-desired film speed aligns with the index. The following table shows the ISO film speeds which can be set this camera.
