Connecting the Battery Case to the Camera
Connecting the Battery Case directly:
1) Connect the battery case to the camera by tightening the attachment screw on the battery case. Note: The camera can not be mounted on a tripod when the battery case is connected directly. CAUTION: Make sure the power switch is turned off before connecting or disconnecting the battery case.![]()
Connecting the Battery Case using the connecting cord:
1 ) Connect the camera to one connector by tightening the attachment screw on the connector.
2) Connect the battery case to the other connector by tightening the attachment screw on the battery case.
Attaching the Lens To remove the body cap, turn it counterclockwise until it stops and pull it off. To re-attach, align the red dot on the cap with the camera's red dot. Then lightly push the cap in and turn it fully clockwise.
To remove the rear lens cap, turn it in the direction of the arrow until it stops and pull it off. To reattach, align the arrow on the cap with the lens' red dot. Then lightly push the cap in and turn it fully clockwise.
To mount the lens, align its red positioning point with the camera's red dot and turn the lens in the direction of the arrow until it stops. The lens release button will pop out. To remove the lens, turn it counterclockwise while pressing the lens release button.
• Refer to the lens' instructions for further information about lens operation.
Caution
Do not mount the lens if you can see a red dot inside the camera mount. If the red dot is visible, remove your finger from the shutter button.
CAUTION: When mounting lenses with manual diaphragm lock mechanisms, (e.g. FD lenses with chrome mount rings and New FD macro lenses), be sure to reset the automatic aperture lever to its normal position before mounting the lens directly on the camera.
The mirror may be damaged if the lens is mounted with the automatic aperture lever locked.
