A private collection of Dhan Chao Khun Nor ("CKN" Wat Dhepsirin, Bangkok) Buddhist Images - by Mr. Brian Koh (...) <aerohigh@doznet.com> Singapore.
Among the Thai public, amulets, pendants and medallions produced by the late Dhan Chao Khun Nor are highly collectible pieces as the Guru monk is highly worshipped by the Thai . CKN was widely recognized as one of the great Guru Monk of modern times. One way or another, amulets created (or blessed) by CKN also spearheaded a trend for religious products in having a unique symbol endorsed in each of his creation. It was something like a "trademark" used for business products in modern days except that it was for religious reasons. So, behind each amulets made by CKN you will find a very creative-looking three-tiers emblem which almost symbolizes with the famous religious Thai icon himself.
Here is a brief background of this Guru who has a host of eventful and colourful history behind him. http://www.angelfire.com/linux/thaipopamulets/nangkwak1.html
One key attraction of CKN's images is, they have managed in successfully blending traditional creations of religious amulets with native Thai Buddhist art. The designs, with many popular Buddhist figures, come in various forms, size and even the choice of materials used. Naturally, each one bears a similar stamp at the rear section. In fact, many of his creations can be treated as a decorative art on its own which also partly contributes to its popularity. The "rubber-stamp-like" emblem which probably used during the early days have evolved in many artful presentations at later stages. Despite all the talks of CKN images, but there ain't many you can find them as you would expect it to be - simply because the name "Chao Khun Nor" itself is rooted deeply as synonymous with "rarity", "class" and "appreciation". and highly treasure as collectibles by Thai public. However, with a stroke of luck, I managed to get help from a collector from Singapore who has developed a keen interest in collecting images produced by CKN. I have got his belssing and permission to compile them orderly and showcase them here in this site. Thank you so much, Brian/Steven.

NOTE:- Virtually ALL the images appear in this site have two dimensions in their respective display. I think most seasoned Thai amulet lovers probably possess a pair of hawk eyes second to the Jews in the diamond trades, so, it is the intention to provide a LARGER view of each thumbnail in order for everyone to enjoy, authenticate or verify their originality. The technique to fully explore the convenience of this display system is - even when the larger view appears on the browser, you should use your mouse to click again to see the actual explosive view. Please bear with the slower download time of those explosive views. Enjoy.
