Wat Keschaiyo (Wat Chaiyo Worawihan) Ang Thong (Anthong) Province, Thailand.

Soomdej Keschaiyo images present quite a unique form in its shapes and appearances from any typical classic design of Soomdej WRK image. One cannot denies the fact this distinguished form has made its name via its close association with the original creator of the great Soomdej image, Somdet Phra Phutthachan (To Phrom Rangsi) of Wat Rakang. As I was given a Keschaiyo image by a Thai friend, although I know it was quite old but as I am having difficulties in identifying when it was made. A recent trip to Thailand (2005) has prompted me to take a visit to this Thai temple (Wat) which locates just 120km north of Bangkok to see if I can seek for an answer. Ang Thong or Anthong as it called, mainly an agricultural based province in Thailand, had this famous temple * root in their heart. I took the chance to record some images during the trip for some of you to share. Enjoy.

* Ang Thong ("Anthong" as some maps of Thailand stated) province has other temples which can make your trip worthwhile, it includes Wat Pa Mok Worawiha, which houses constructed during the Sukhothai period with a 22.58 meters aged old reclining Buddha image, a year 1669's constructed Wat Sha Kaeo, an equally historical Wat Tha Sutthawat, Wat Thong Son a well as Pho Thong's Wat Kho. Probably there are more which I am not familiar with.

NOTE:- Virtually ALL the images appear in this site have two dimensions in their respective display. I think most seasoned Thai amulet lovers probably possess a pair of hawk eyes second to the Jews in the diamond trades, so, it is the intention to provide a LARGER view of each thumbnail in order for everyone to enjoy, authenticate or verify their originality. The technique to fully explore the convenience of this display system is - even when the larger view appears on the browser, you should use your mouse to click again to see the actual explosive view. Please bear with the slower download time of those explosive views. Enjoy.
