Classic SLR Series
AR-1 Soft Shutter Release
Not only does it provide an easier push on the trigger, so to speak, it also raises the shutter release up to the level of the shutter speed dial on the Photomic finders. For Nikon F, F2, and Nikkormats.
AR-2 Cable Release
This is a fairly standard cable release which has a locking feature -- when you turn the milled ring around the release, it will hold the plunger in place. For Nikon F and F2.
AR-4 Double Cable Release (Used in conjunction with the Bellows Focusing attachment PB-6, it will stop the lens diaphragm down to the preselected aperture the instant the shutter is released. Compatible cameras are FE, FM, and F2-series. For Nikon F and F2.)
This release is designed for use on bellows with the BR-4 ring, and provides a semiautomatic diaphragm. Normally, the diaphragm is held open by the BR-4, but when its plunger is depressed, the diaphragm will stop down to the selected aperture.
AR-8 Cable Converter
Note: The screw-type AR-3 makes for vibration-free shutter release.(Cable Release AR4 with Nikon Thread; AR-7 with ISO Thread; AR-10 for MD Terminal; for macro with bellow/lens combination, a double cable release is essential.).
This converts the tip of F/F2-style releases to fit into standard male-threaded release sockets.
Shutter Release MR-1 The MR-1 screws into the remote terminal of the Motor Drive MD-2 and provides a choice of trigger buttons for convenience when shooting at difficult camera angles.
It is also threaded to accept the Nikon Cable Release AR-2 for remote control operation, copying and still-life shooting.
These releases can screw into the three-pins motordrive socket on the front of the MD-1/2. They provide an alternate (vertical) shutter release and enable the use of the F/F2-style shutter release with the motordrive.
