LEICA MP 0.72X (10312/10314), LHSA
1968~2003 grey/gray hammertone-finish
 |
|
Outline some of the differences between this model with standard production Leica
MP model:-
Perhaps, the most distinguishable difference is the selection of hammertone-grey
for all the exposed metal parts on the body chassis (except the controls). This has
made the Leica MP looks so distinctive from other Leica models.
 |
 |
LHSA has opt for traditional vulcanite leatherette instead
of the MP-reissued new standard body covering. The decision is probably right, it
has retained some old-style flavor back to the Leica MP-reissued models.
|
At the top plate, "Leica
camera, SOLMS Germany" has been reallocated
and engraved on the top/left section. At the top/right, rear section, a small LHSA
logo with "SPECIAL EDITION
1968~2003" is imprinted at the usual
position for "Leica Camera, Made in Germany" found in other Leica MP, perhaps
the positioning is slightly more to the left but it does looks more balance - Leica
AG should consider this slight shift of position on standard models. The LHSA grey
hammertone finish Leica MP standard package should include a companion Leica Summicron-M
35mm 1:2 ASPH with LHSA engraving as well as a matching hammertone lens hood. To
make it more appealing, LHSA had also thoughtfully included a Leicavit-M in matching
grey hammertone finishing (Due to graphic intensive, these additional info will be
furnish at next section to avoid long download time for this page). |
